A species of green unicellular microalgae purified from diluted Dead Sea water. More than 100 years ago, people believed that the Dead Sea was sterile. However, in 1940, a young scientist Elazar Volcano, who later became a famous researcher, went to the Dead Sea to collect samples and discovered living organisms in the sea - algae! He named them Dunaliella Salina. Dunaliella Salina algae is known for its extraordinary ability to produce large amounts of vitamins and antioxidants, which allows it to survive and thrive in the harshest and most extreme salt environments.
